Single Source Energy Solutions Joins New Generation Energy as Community Green Supporter to Promote Sustainable Communities

June 9, 2010 -- Single Source Energy Solutions (SSES) has joined New Generation Energy (NGE) as a Community Green Supporter to help New England charities find ways to consume energy more sustainably.

This collaboration between NGE and SSSES is set to span the next six months. It will include the implementation of several SSES-sponsored lighting audits and advising sessions. These services will be used to assist NGE in identifying projects geared at helping non-profit organizations and small businesses find greener and smarter ways to power their programs.

Microdonation Website Supports Green Nonprofits

Boston‐based nonprofit New Generation Energy launches microdonation website to support local green energy projects and lower carbon emissions

April 9, 2010 — New Generation Energy (NGE), a Boston‐based 501(C)(3) nonprofit that promotes the development of community green energy, today announced the launch of a microdonation website to benefit local green nonprofits. A unique feature of this new website is that donors can pre-select donation amounts that save a specific amount of carbon. For example a donation amount can be selected that eliminates one ton of CO2.

Low‐Interest Green Loan Funds Geothermal Project in Connecticut

Boston‐based nonprofit New Generation Energy supports alternative energy in New England through green loan to Corrine Weddings in Glastonbury, CT.

March 15, 2010 — New Generation Energy (NGE), a Boston‐based nonprofit organization, today announced that it has provided a low‐interest loan to Corrine Weddings of Glastonbury, CT. This loan supports the installation of a geothermal ground source heat system at Corrine Weddings' headquarters, marking an expansion of NGE's Community Lending Program to the state of Connecticut.

February 24, 2010 – New Generation Energy (NGE), a Boston‐based nonprofit organization dedicated to making communities greener, today launched a 'sticker' campaign that encourages people to use revolving doors rather than swinging doors. By preventing drafts caused by opening doors, revolving doors save a significant amount of energy (and money).
