The Community Lending Program (CLP) was created in May, 2009 by New Generation Energy to strengthen low and middle income communities through green energy projects that have a high level of environmental, economic, health, and neighborhood-enhancement benefits.
NGE currently provides funding for two programs: the Solar Lending Program and the Food Service Energy Efficiency Lending Program. All enterprises, non-profit and for-profit, may apply for a loan from NGE’s Community Lending Program.

New Generation Energy believes that community scale solar plays an important part in moving America toward a green energy path. With the current incentives and rebates available through your state and local government, solar is more attractive than ever. For a list of your state’s incentives and rebates see the DSIRE website. NGE funds Solar PV systems as well as Solar Thermal systems. Once you have a plan and a price quote from your solar installer, NGE will work with you to provide the best financing option for your system.

The food service industry is the most energy intensive commercial business sector in the United States. NGE has designed a program to help the food service industry reduce its energy use and cut costs. While efficiency improvements will reduce costs and add to your bottom line, new, energy efficient equipment can be too expensive for a restaurant with limited access to capital. NGE will offer funds to any qualifying restaurant or organization with a commercial kitchen for the purchase of Energy Star® rated kitchen appliances.
