Green Funding Options

NGE helps fund community green energy projects at small businesses and nonprofit organizations such as shelters, community centers, churches, health clinics, and hospitals. We support efficiency projects such as weatherization, lighting upgrades, and appliance upgrades, and we support clean energy generation such as solar photovoltaic (PV), solar hot water, and ground source heat pumps.

Three kinds of green funding are available:

Growing Green CommunitiesLow interest loans are made possible by funds from the sale of NGE's Renewable Energy Investment Notes (REIN). Follow this link to learn more about our Community Lending Program that provides loans from $10,000 to $50,000 at interest rates starting at 5.0%.

Grants to support green energy projects are available to nonprofit organizations from our Community Green Fund. Follow this link to learn more about NGE's Community Green Energy Projects, where NGE works with nonprofits to assess, develop, and then fund projects that dramatically lower electricity, heating, and water expenses.
